Plan C staff and internal training
So far, it's been a rich year already for internal training too.
With our important work in indigenous communities, all of our Plan C team have taken part in trauma and cultural safety training, supported by Healthy North Coast. It’s helped us reflect on how we show up, and how we can keep working in ways that are safe, respectful, and responsive to the needs of each unique place we’re invited into.
We were also thrilled to complete a Pride awareness workshop with ACON recently! As a learning organisation delivering our project, Preparing with Pride, which focuses on disaster resilience for queer communities, we know how important it is to keep growing our understanding and capacity to be as inclusive as possible. Big thanks to ACON Northern Rivers for sharing their knowledge and supporting us to create safer, more welcoming spaces for everyone.
You might also spot a few new faces in the photo below. These are some of our wonderful consultants who’ve come on board to help deliver and support our projects. It’s been a big learning curve bringing people in, training together, and figuring things out as we go. But having them with us strengthens our team and deepens our collective resilience. And that feels good.
