Starting the conversation: Disaster planning for carers & community members with support needs
Plan C is hosting inclusive, practical workshops this October to support carers, support workers, and people living with disability to begin thinking about disaster preparedness.
These sessions are an introduction – a chance to start the conversation and build confidence. They are not about completing your Person-Centred Emergency Preparedness (P-CEP) plan, but about exploring first steps and resources that can support you on the journey.
In each session you’ll:
Identify personal risks in floods, fires and heatwaves
Learn practical steps to stay safe
Explore what to do when deciding to STAY or GO in a disaster
Discover resources that can help you later develop a personalised emergency action plan
Made possible with support from the NSW Reconstruction Authority’s Supporting Spontaneous Volunteers Program.

The world is in crisis, and you are stepping up. Thank you!
May this knowledge fill you up and bring joy to your day.
