Kyla White
Board Member
Kyla is a values-driven leader with experience across corporate, for-purpose and local government sectors. Her work spans major growth and innovation initiatives in an international corporate environment, partnership and funding development in the not-for-profit sector, and community-led recovery and resilience initiatives in the Northern Rivers.
With a background in marketing and communications and extensive experience in stakeholder engagement, Kyla is passionate about creating systemic change and sees strategic leadership as a powerful lever for strengthening communities and organisations. These foundations guide her practical, strategic engagement across government, research, philanthropy and community settings to deliver durable, context-appropriate community-centred outcomes.
A fluent Japanese speaker with almost 15 years living and working in Japan, Kyla has discovered her ikigai in the Northern Rivers. Her values are grounded in the permaculture principles of earth care, people care and fair share, and she believes deeply that we all have a role to play in leaving the planet in better shape.
