Connect with others. Learn new skills.
We specialise in working alongside communities to design and deliver practical training, workshops and programs that build resilience and strengthen disaster preparedness.
Building stronger communities together: The Plan C approach
At Plan C, we believe meaningful, lasting impact begins with strong relationships.
Every community is different, shaped by its people, experiences, strengths and challenges. That’s why we take the time to truly understand the communities we work with. We recognise that learning styles, training needs and ways of coming together vary widely, and we design training that reflects those differences.
We offer both off-the-shelf programs and tailored, co-designed training. Programs like our Community Carers and Responders (CCR) training provide a strong, practical foundation, while our tailored work allows us to respond to the specific needs, strengths and context of each community.
Rather than relying solely on standard delivery, we also co-create training that is thoughtful, relevant and grounded in real-world experience. Our team brings deep expertise in disaster preparedness, youth engagement, psychological first aid and conflict management. Just as importantly, we prioritise experiential, active learning, because people learn best by doing, reflecting and connecting.
Our goal is simple: to deliver programs that build skills, strengthen relationships and support community resilience long into the future.

Our four-phase approach to partnership
1. Listening first: understanding your context
Every partnership begins with listening. We take the time to understand your organisation, your community and your specific needs.
We work across diverse groups, including young people, First Nations communities and people with disability, and we recognise that each brings unique perspectives and experiences.
We also understand that communities are shaped by different challenges, such as floods, fires, food insecurity or fuel shortages. These experiences influence how people engage with training.
By listening deeply, we begin a co-design process that ensures the training is relevant, respectful and grounded in your reality.
2. Co-designing the right approach
Once we’ve built a strong understanding, we move into co-design.
This is a collaborative, two-way process where we adapt existing programs or create new ones tailored to your context. We share ideas, gather feedback and refine the approach together.
Your insights guide the process, ensuring the training meets the real needs of your community.
3. Delivering safe, engaging training
We focus on creating a safe, supportive learning environment.
Our workshops are trauma-informed and culturally appropriate, recognising that topics like disasters and conflict can be challenging.
We typically have two facilitators in the room to provide support and ensure participants feel safe throughout the session. We’re also open to co-facilitating with partner organisations.
We remain flexible, working around your preferred times and venues to make participation accessible.
4. Reflecting, learning and growing together
Our work doesn’t end when the training does.
We reconnect with our partners to reflect on what worked, what we’ve learned and what’s possible next. This includes evaluation, but more importantly, shared learning and future collaboration.
We are committed to ongoing relationships, not one-off engagements.
Let’s work together
If this approach resonates with you, we’d love to connect.
Together, we can design and deliver training that strengthens skills, builds confidence and supports resilient, connected communities.
