Surviving Disasters: Youth disaster resilience
We're celebrating the incredible Year 11 students from Mullumbimby High, who’ve just completed our 8-week Surviving Disasters youth disaster resilience program!
Over the term, these young legends built real-world skills in bushcraft, first aid, and disaster preparedness — lighting fires with flint and steel, learning how to stay calm under pressure, and stepping up as leaders in times of crisis.
Jen, our amazing Youth coordinator and facilitator recorded this video with Mullumbimby High School's newly elected school captain, Elia, who reflects on the program and what it’s meant for him. You can watch the video over on our socials.
We’re so proud of this group and the way they’ve shown up for their community.
