We'd like to shine a light on FLOODLAND, the documentary exploring the human experience of the 2022 Lismore floods, and the team and communities who have helped bring these important stories to audiences across Australia.
The recently released FLOODLAND Impact Report highlights the reach of the film and the conversations it has inspired about recovery, collective care, First Nations knowledge and community-led approaches to climate adaptation.
The impact campaign has included 36 screenings and discussions across Australia, reaching more than 3,000 people, alongside engagement with government agencies, community organisations and the disaster recovery sector.
One of the report's most important reflections is the need to move beyond asking how we can make individuals more resilient, and instead consider what communities need to feel safe, connected and supported.
It's a question that resonates deeply with our work at Plan C.
We were glad to play a small part in supporting this work, and we'd encourage you to explore the report and the conversations it has helped spark.
