DisasterWise, in collaboration with Resilient Lismore has launched The Community Congress 2025, a powerful national online gathering on Friday 19 September.

Plan C's founder, Jean Renouf, will be there alongside other Northern Rivers community leaders. This event has been created and led by people with lived experience of climate-related disasters and those supporting grassroots community groups.

Together, we’ll:

  • Share real stories of disaster response, recovery and renewal

  • Exchange practical knowledge and lessons learned

  • Build collective strength and solidarity

Whether you’re already part of a local group, thinking about starting one, or simply passionate about building community resilience, this Congress is for you.
