October: Starting the conversation: Disaster planning for community members with support needs and carers

Plan C warmly invites all carers, support workers and people living with a disability to
join us for an inclusive, practical workshop designed to start the conversation on
disaster preparedness. In each session, participants will:

  • Identify their individual risks when preparing for bushfires, floods, and

  • heatwaves

  • Learn actions they can take to ensure their safety

  • Explore what to do when deciding to STAY or GO in a disaster

  • Discover practical resources to help develop a personalised emergency action plan

Supporting Spontaneous Volunteers Program.

This workshop is a welcoming space to share experiences, ask questions, and gain
confidence in preparing for future emergencies.

Morning tea will be provided along with opportunities for connection and community
building.
